Well, back home from my holiday in Portugal, had a FABULOUS time with 28 degree heat, beautiful rose wine, great girl friends and no testosterone household yelling in my ear all the time *lol*. Yes, of course I missed the family. But when's the next holiday?!!

A quiet time at the moment, trying to get some life nudged into ideas for new writing.

OK, trying to revamp the website at the moment, so please excuse any upheaval.
I've posted a short story The Look, which I'd like to continue on to be a set of 3 short stories. They'll all take place at a family party, but from different guests' point of view.
This first one is from the POV of Ned, the uncle of the girl whose party it is.
And a Halloween tale - Perfection - which I wrote last year and posted to Live Journal, but don't appear to have included in an update here.
Hopefully I'll have some more news next month about forthcoming publications - and remember, The Twisted Brand, the sequel to The Gold Warrior is out in June!

Two more great reviews for Masquerade and one for Secret Santa (see them with the book blurb here).
They're also relaunching the website soon which should make it much easier to navigate and find the fiction you want (including mine I hope...). Admittedly, my Christmas titles may not have much of a shelf life beyond the winter months *LOL* but I think they're still a good read beyond January.
I've also had a short story Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come published on Dreamspinner Press, in their Christmas Dreams section. Please try that one out, too!
And I've finished writing the sequel to The Gold Warrior at last - the last couple of chapters seemed to take longer than the whole of the rest of the book *lol*. I'm sending it across to Dreamspinner later this month and hopefully we'll start editing TGW soon, with the sequel - Twisted Brand - to follow later in the year.
I've also posted some short fiction in the Friday Flash Fiction forum, which has been started and supported by some other fab authors. I've only done a couple but you can read them here, and if you fancy a quick but delicious read or two on a Friday, catch them first on my Live Journal account.
And I'm also posting the first chapter of a new novel I've been tempted to write, called (provisionally) No Angel. Read it here, and feel free to let me know what you think! I'd like to work on some contemporary fiction for a while - I just need to do something more than the first chapter, I know! There are some contests I'm going to enter, and some other publishing outlets I'd like to investigate. Please let me know if you have any guidance or suggestions for me to build up my portfolio!

I've just signed another contract for a Christmas m/m short story to be published by Eternal Press. It's called Just Like Scrooge - yes, for those of you who might recognise the title (which I'm very pleased with so I'm sticking with it!), it's an original re-telling of a tale I wrote in fanfiction years ago, same theme-different flavour.
Very reasonably priced at only $1.50 for over 6,000 words! I'll point you towards it as soon as it's available. Keep you posted!

More exciting news ^_^
I've signed a contract with Eternal Press for an anthology of 4 of my stories, and it's to be published in December 2007! It's called MASQUERADE - see the book cover here. It will be in e-format only at first, but maybe print in the future.
The only bad news is that 3 of those stories are currently posted here on the site, so I'm taking them down from free viewing, sorry! But you'll be able to read them again soon - and expanded and improved on - in the book. Also the 4th tale has never been shown anywhere outside of the Yaoi Con Anthology, so maybe that'll tempt you even more to buy! Keep you posted!
I've posted another segment to DOUBLETAKE on the short fiction page, this time from Dex's point of view. The tale continues...!

Very exciting news for me - I've been offered a publishing contract for The Gold Warrior, an original novel that I started back in 2004 for the NaNoWriMo challenge. It'll be published hopefully in February 2008 by DreamSpinner Press - I'll be thrilled if any of you buy and/or read it, this is a marvellous step forward for me.
Even more exciting, I'm writing a sequel to it, and that should be published too, later in 2008.
I'll keep you all posted of developments! Many, many thanks to anyone who's supported my novel writing in the past, and please feel free to email me if you want to know how it's all coming along.
And I've posted up the story MAKING CAMP on the short fiction page, as it's finished its (short!) run on Torquere Press.

Posted a short fic 'Where To?' which I wrote for the picfor1000 community's challenge on Live Journal - 1,000 words only, with a picture offered to inspire. A great discipline, and I was very pleased with the result.
I'm also finally posting up my fic 'Freeman', which is currently running on LiveJournal. I was going to wait until it was done, but I've had a very good feedback for it on LJ, and I really wanted to post some of my current work here. And I can assure you I'm committed to finishing it! My Real Life Work keeps getting in the way, but I've enjoyed writing this every step of the way. Please read it if you're passing, and let me know what you think!
I'm also on the search for some striking pics for the site, too... it needs colour!!! ^__^
